We are thrilled to welcome Kestrel Coffee Roasters to Leahy BTV
BURLINGTON, VT – Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (Leahy BTV) is set to welcome a new concessionaire—beloved local favorite Kestrel Coffee Roasters—in mid-to-late summer 2025. This will mark Kestrel’s fourth location, further expanding its presence in Vermont. Known for its high-quality, locally roasted coffee and exceptional hospitality, Kestrel’s product and persona is a natural fit for the growing demand of Leahy BTV passengers and guests.
"The addition of Kestrel Coffee Roasters to Leahy BTV's concession offerings ensures Vermonters and visitors alike can enjoy local comforts," said Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak. "I deeply appreciate our airport team, and their dedication to supporting Vermont businesses, and ensuring positive passenger experiences at the airport."
Since its founding in 2018, Kestrel has become a cornerstone of Vermont’s coffee scene, earning recognition such as the Best New Business Award from the Lake Champlain Chamber. Beyond crafting exceptional coffee, Kestrel is dedicated to community impact, proudly supporting local nonprofits like Spectrum Youth & Family Services and Vermont Parks Forever. With a strong commitment to sustainability—incorporating compostable packaging and energy-efficient roasting—Kestrel will continue to minimize its environmental footprint, especially at its newest Leahy BTV location.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kestrel Coffee Roasters to Leahy BTV,” said Nic Longo, Director of Aviation at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport. “As a locally owned business with a reputation for excellence, Kestrel will provide our passengers and employees with a high-quality, Vermont-crafted experience. We are committed to supporting local businesses that enhance the Leahy BTV experience, and Kestrel is a perfect fit for our airport community.”
“We're truly honored to have been selected as the new concessionaire at Leahy BTV. We believe that cafes and great coffee bring people together and can change our community for the better,” added Johnny Steverson, co-founder of Kestrel Coffee.
Located overlooking the Terminal Integration Project (TIP) escalators, Kestrel’s new outpost will offer travelers a fast, high-quality café experience. The space will feature a streamlined, efficiency design inspired by Kestrel’s other locations, ensuring quick service without sacrificing quality.
Travelers can look forward to:
